Privacy Policy

Effective November 1, 2026. This policy covers the Clarity Campus website and iPhone/iPad app.

Your writing and files

Web drafts, settings, and review history are stored in your browser. In the iPhone/iPad app, saved drafts are stored in protected files on your device. Clarity Campus does not synchronize drafts between devices. Keep an exported backup of important work before clearing app data.

Quick checks run on your device. In the iPhone/iPad app, PDF extraction and transcription of a selected photo also run on your device. Importing or scanning alone does not send the document or photo to an AI provider.

AI processing

After you consent and choose an AI action, the submitted text and context are sent through our server to the named provider. Web image-based actions also send the selected image. Writing tools use OpenAI or Grok. Percentage assessments use Gemini, with Grok as a fallback when Gemini is unavailable. These providers process content under their own terms and retention practices. Avoid submitting confidential information, sensitive personal records, or material you do not have permission to share.

OpenAI requests use store:false; this does not guarantee zero provider retention. We do not save essay contents in the account or billing database. Error responses do not include API keys or raw provider logs.

Accounts and payments

Web sign-in uses Neon Auth to verify your email with a one-time code. Neon processes your email, account identifier and session data to operate sign-in. We keep the identifiers needed to link that account to Stripe and verify its subscription. Stripe handles web payment details; Clarity Campus does not store full card numbers.

The iPhone/iPad app uses Sign in with Apple. We store an Apple account identifier, an app account token linking purchases to that account, an encrypted Apple refresh token for account revocation, and hashed session tokens. The session token is stored in the device Keychain. Apple processes App Store payments. Our server checks subscription product identifiers, transaction identifiers, status, and expiry with Apple before granting access.

For both platforms, we store AI action identifiers, tool types, timestamps, and success/failure status to apply request limits and operate the service. Hosting and payment providers may process network, security, and transaction records under their own policies. Clarity Campus does not use advertising trackers or sell your submitted writing.

Control and deletion

You can remove local drafts and history on your device and decline AI processing. In the iPhone/iPad app, Account → Delete Account revokes the Apple authorization and deletes native account, session, and usage records. Deleting an app account does not cancel an Apple subscription; cancel separately through Apple subscription settings. Local draft files can be deleted separately in the app.

On the web, use Settings to clear local history and the account page to delete account data to remove application records and immediately cancel active web subscriptions. Required transaction records may remain with Apple, Stripe, or other service providers. Deleting Clarity Campus data does not delete your Apple account or sign-in identity. Contact support to request deletion of your web sign-in identity.
